As my interim year comes to a close I am currently seeking new positions and reflecting on the past. I have really enjoyed this past year and will take with me many things that will help me grow as a professional in the near future.
A couple of truths:
1. I love working in the collegiate environment. Education is like pure oxygen to me.
2. Don't be afraid to reach across campus and introduce yourself. I really enjoyed meeting other pros and presenting on campus. Networking and sharing ideas with colleagues is refreshing and necessary to be progressive.
3. Listen and watch then speak. I have learned more by being a sponge and observing than ever before.
4. If you don't like it then have at LEAST 2 alternatives. These words are spoken by my Associate Director on any occasion that calls for inspiring ingenuity.
